Great taste that is certified organic.
At Leclerc, great tasting ingredients take centre stage. Our organic products are no exception: GoPure products always taste great while providing all the advantages of certified organic ingredients.
Organic simply makes sense
Organic foods are produced and processed using techniques that minimize the impact on the environment.
In addition to ensuring farm-to-table traceability,* the organic inspection and certification system offers consumers who are mindful of their well-being guaranteed product authenticity.
Certified organic products leave all the space to the natural good taste of food. Why? Because the production and processing of organic foods is based on a set of techniques that exclude the use of:
- chemical preservatives and irradiation (use of gamma rays, electron beams, or X-rays to prolong the life of food)
- pesticides and synthetic chemical fertilizers
- genetically modified organisms (GMOs)
Organic agriculture promotes the improvement of soil quality and fertility by adhering to rigorous production standards, such as:
- the use of natural fertilizers, which help prevent drought and soil erosion
- the use of beneficial insects, or the use of mechanical and manual methods, to control pests and weeds
- crop rotation, which balances the distribution of nutrients in the soil, and controls pests.
Organic methods privilege the use of renewable resources, recycling, or reduction of residual waste and energy consumption, to limit the impact on the environment.
By maintaining the wildlife habitats of threatened species and avoiding excessive deforestation, organic farming also aims to protect biodiversity and preserve our natural heritage.
Seals of quality
Choosing organic is also knowing what’s on your plate.
In America, organic food is well regulated. For example, all foods marked “organic” must be certified by a recognized organization, and independent audits are conducted annually to ensure compliance with current standards. All agricultural products labeled “organic” are regulated by the U.S Department of Agriculture (USDA).*
The “USDA Organic” seal of the National Organic Program (NOP) can be added on a product which conforms to this program. NOP develops the rules and regulations for all USDA organic products. QAI is an NOP accredited certifier which certifies that our products meet NOP requirements for organic products. The NOP program prohibits the use of genetic engineering, ionizing radiation, and sewage sludge in organic production and handling. Products bearing the “Certified Organic” logo must also consist of at least 95% organically produced ingredients.

The National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances :
The Non-GMO Project is a non-profit organization and its seal assures consumers that the product contains no genetically modified organisms (GMOs). It is the only independent verification and certification program in the country, ensuring transparency, objectivity, and rigour. For more information, visit the Non-GMO Project website.
